Repeat Drug Orders
Drug orders can be placed in person or over the phone. Please be aware that all medications including flea and worm treatments have to be authorised by a vet and so we ask that we are given 24 hours notice for all medicine orders.
If your animal is on ongoing medication this can be collected from the surgery with 24 hours notice. However by law we are required to check animals on ongoing medications at regular intervals to ensure the efficacy of the medication and check for any side effects. These check ups are normally every 3 months however there may be some instances where the interval will be less or more than this and you will be advised of this by the vet reviewing your case.
Flea and Worm Treatments
Most of the flea and worm treatments we prescribe are Prescription Only Medications. This means we can only dispense these medications to “animals under our care”. This requires us to perform a yearly examination of your pet to allow us to prescribe these medications. This will normally be carried out as the health check performed with your pets annual vaccination.
We can supply regular and prescription diets. However due to limited capacity we are only able to stock small amounts of these products. Please give us 24 hours notice of any food you will require so that we can order the required diet from our supplier. If you place an order on a Friday or Saturday your order will be available on the following Monday afternoon.
Monday – Friday
9.15am – 10.00am
2.30pm - 3.30pm
5.00pm - 6.30pm
9.30am - 11.30am
*** PLEASE NOTE THAT Holytown WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE FROM FRIDAY THE 8TH FEBRUARY(LAST DAY IS THE FRIDAY). WE TRULY HOPE THIS IS A TEMPORARY MEASURE BUT AS WE EXPLAINED ON THE MAIN PAGE WE ARE SHORT OF VETS***
On any bank holiday Monday we will operate an open clinic at our coatbridge branch 9-11am. This is designed for urgent cases and there will only be one vet on duty.
